When we set out to do something, we do it. And our record proves it.
In the 1980’s, the principals of what would become Pacific West, began their careers in real estate development, working on single-family and multifamily projects in Southern California and Nevada. Realizing that a wasteful development industry could benefit from a “management overhaul,” the principals came together in 1991 and created Pacific West.
Changing the development industry was quite a challenge for a group of twenty-somethings, but they never backed down. Over the years, they began to introduce a number of unique development and construction management techniques and tools. Some had been proven in other industries, some were created from scratch. All of them were designed to enhance efficiency, which wasn’t nearly as valued back then as it is now.
The most powerful tool created was MicroCraft™ management software. Developed entirely in house, MicroCraft™ cost more than a million dollars and required thousands of programming hours. But it has proven to be -- and continues to be -- worth every penny.
Pacific West breakthroughs have led to several industry firsts, such as being able to build year ’round in cold weather climates. Pacific West has also been able to reduce build times by up to 50 percent versus the competition.
Our innovative approach has helped us build a lean, strong, stable company with extremely low employee turnover (a level that’s probably unheard of in the industry). Most of the key members of our team have worked together for close to 20 years.
